FLIR Scion OTM366 Thermal Monocular

FLIR takes thermal observations to new heights with the new Scion series!

The FLIR Scion OTM366 Thermal Monocular with manual focus is specially designed for long-range observations in complete darkness, bad weather and the most challenging landscapes. With the Scion OTM (Outdoor Thermal Monocular), you're ready to capture any encounter with people or animals. This handheld monocular gives you the ability to detect heat at more than 1280 meters. You now have the most high-tech options, such as the new 12µm boson detector, three viewing modes, GPS, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, and endless photo and video recordings. The 12µm boson detector gives you a superior viewing experience, combining pixels from multiple shots in real-time (60hz). This quadruples the image resolution! You can enlarge the standard optical zoom of 1.3x by means of a digital zoom 2x, 4x and 8x.

Viewing modes

The OTM366 has three observation modes. You can use the standard Scouting Mode to observe as usual. A new feature is the Lock-Span Mode. It filters out unwanted temperatures that you don't want to see. Think of very cold or hot temperatures, or bright objects such as air and fire. Only objects that you want to focus on will get a color; filtered objects will be displayed in black. The third mode is Picture-in-Picture. This option is used to zoom in on a certain object in the picture (2x), without losing the rest of the field of view.

Usage FLIR Scion OTM366

To use the unit, insert the supplied battery compartment with 2, 4 or 6 pieces of CR123 batteries into the compartment. The Scion OTM has a 'smart tray' that recognizes how many batteries are installed. The service life with 6 batteries is 4.5 to 5 hours. The thermal monocular can also be used with rechargeable CR123 batteries. The unit also has an auto-shutdown function. Recorded images can easily be transferred to another device using the built-in Wi-fi and Bluetooth, or via the included USB cable. The thermal imaging camera has 2GB of internal storage, which you can increase to 128GB using an optional microSD card. You can optionally place the camera on a tripod, using the 1/4 thread on the bottom. The Scion series is IP67 certified and therefore waterproof.
