The Module 8 L3 Tuner is an innovative new lens that transforms modern digital cameras into a nostalgic dream machine. With a simple twist of the lens adapter, available in three different looks, it allows access to the cinematic magic of yesteryear. The L3 Tuner represents the signature style of Iain A. Neil, co-founder of Module 8, and is the result of his decades of experience in designing some of the most distinctive cinematic lenses, especially anamorphic lenses. L3 gives your shots the distinctive astigmatic characteristics of classic anamorphic lenses, even when using spherical optics. By simulating the depth of field effects in the vertical/horizontal direction that occur with older anamorphic lenses (without flares or bokeh), the L3 offers a uniquely complex effect. Unlike most lens adjustments that focus on halation and glow or simple field curvature, the L3 adds a special character to the shot in the side view.
