The SiOnyx Aurora BLACK is a color night vision attachment that is very effective in combination with a Red Dot or Holographic Sight. With this attachment you can see the surroundings not only in color during the day, but also at night.
Of course, objects and animals do not change color at night. However, the human eye is not able to see those colors at night. With the Aurora Black you can actually see those colors.
The SiOnyx Aurora Black has an optical 0.5x magnification with a large field of view of 40 degrees. With a digital zoom you can enlarge the image up to 3x. The environment is displayed on a razor-sharp OLED display. In addition to color night vision, you can also set the viewer in black/white or night vision green.
You can connect the camera via Wi-fi to any smartphone or tablet (Android and iOS). As soon as you have the free app - found in the PlayStore/AppStore as SiOnyx Aurora - you can remotely control the viewer, stream images live and create/share recordings. While you are aiming and shooting, you can let someone nearby watch the action live (ot a distance of about 20 meters without obstacles).
You place the night vision camera on the Picatinny/Weaver rail of your weapon by using the supplied mount. The mounting rail on your weapon must be long enough to attach both the Aurora Black and the red dot/holographic sight. If your weapon has a long mounting rail, you can also use this attachment with an optical rifle scope (e.g. from Vortex) as the attached pictures show.
When you want to aim, use the pointer of your red dot or the reticle of your rifle scope. The SiOnyx cameras themselves are not equipped with a reticle/laser pointer. This means you do not need to zero the device.
This SiOnyx Aurora Black is an effective tool for airsoft, hunting and shooting. With the combination of the Aurora and a Picatinny mount you will have a weapon accessory, which allows you to see in color at night and shoot with extreme precision. The Weaver/Picatinny mount is included separately, so you can use the night vision camera even without a weapon. For example, you can use the Aurora Black in your hand (night vision monocular), remotely control and stream images live, or attach it to a helmet.
