The Luna Optics LN-G3-B50 Day/Night Vision Binocular with Rangefinder 6-36x50 is the ultimate Generation-3 night vision device. Equipped with a dual state-of-the-art AMOLED-Q's display, a viewing distance of up to 400m in complete darkness and a laser rangefinder, this day and night vision device offers performance unmatched in the market. The unit is binocular and therefore extremely comfortable, even for prolonged consecutive use.
The zoom capacity of 6 to 36x makes it suitable for medium to very long distance observations. In addition, the LN-G3-B50 has two 50mm lenses, so a lot of residual light falls into it. This residual light is amplified thousands of times by means of the Sony Full-HD CMOS sensor and displayed on a 0.38" widescreen AMOLED-Q display (1280x720 pixels). Combined with the powerful 850nm infrared beam, this results in a viewing distance of up to 400m in complete darkness and up to 1,200m at full moon. However, the LN-G3-B50 is also suitable for daylight use. You can use it, for example, as daylight binocular or spotting scope with full-HD digital camera.
Unique to these nightvision device is the integrated laser rangefinder with invisible beam. This rangefinder makes it possible - at any time of day - to determine the distance to an object. When you look through the camera you will see a 'dot' in the field of view, after which you can point it at an object and immediately know the distance. The maximum range of the laser beam is 600m. During use you also have the possibility to switch between three different observation modes: nightvision green, black&white and full-color. The navy-green image provides a true-to-life image, providing a realistic viewing experience just as you would expect with traditional nightvision devices. The black&white viewing mode can be used when you need a lot of contrast, e.g. for reading texts or license plates. During the day, use the full-color mode in combination with the included colour filter.
The built-in recorder allows you to take razor-sharp photos and videos. For example, the photo resolution is 12.2MP and a video is captured at 1080p/60fps. Recordings are automatically saved to the included 8GB microSD card. These can then be transferred via a USB cable, but you can also share them with your iOS or Android smartphone via a Wi-fi connection. Additionally, you can create a direct video connection to any HDTV or monitor using an HDMI cable (included). A 100% waterproof transport case is optionally available for safe and easy transport.
The nightvision binocular is an indispensable accessory for every professional or demanding private user, for whom viewing distance, quality and comfort are crucial. This makes the unit extremely suitable for hunters and nature lovers. For professional purposes you can think of security, enforcement, police, rescue operations and any other related application. Where photographs and videos for private use serve as a pleasant memento, these recordings for professional applications can be used as evidence or training purposes. This makes the LN-G3-B50 universally usable. The duration of use is approximately 3.5 hours.

The Luna Optics LN-G3-B50 is a day and night vision binocular from the 3rd generation digital night vision. It has a 50mm lens and an optical 6x magnification, which you can enlarge up to 36x with a digital zoom. With a state-of-the-art AMOLED-Q display, laser rangefinder, 16.1 megapixel (!) photo recorder and a viewing distance of up to 600m in complete darkness, the LN-G3-B50 offers performance unmatched in the market.
Which viewing mode you use at night depends on the environment you are in, what exactly you want to see, and at what distance you want to see. At night, you can choose of three options:
- Night vision green: the familiar green image for general observations at night, for example in the field or in the woods. If you want to see as far as possible, it is best to use this mode.
- Black/White: for when you need as much contrast as possible, for example for reading texts or license plates on cars.
- Amber: A new, unique color mode that gives you a golden picture. You can use this mode when you want to see a lot of details and have a high contrast. Especially suitable in situations where there is some residual light (e.g. at sunrise).
Whichever viewing mode you choose, please remember to take the color filter off the objective lense at night, as they will block out infrared and ambient light.
When you can't see anything at all yourself, then this night vision binocular really comes to life. It is equipped with a powerful infrared illuminator. You can use this when there is little or no light present. The IR has an invisible 850nm beam and the IR source is only visible at close range. You can adjust the infrared beam in terms of power and angle.
In addition, the device also has a built-in laser rangefinder. This allows you to measure the distance to objects, animals or people. When you look into the night vision camera you will see a dot in the FOV. You can then point this at an object and it immediately measures the distance. The laser has an invisible 905nm beam and a range of 10 to 700m.
During the day, the LN-G3-B50 really looks like a 4K camera. This is due to the special day-time mode, the color filter and the AMOLED screen. You won't find the quality you see with this viewer during the day in any other night vision device. So this means you can use it as a digital camera and as a digital binocular during the day. Even at dusk, you can see for a very long time with great detail. And when it gets too dark, you switch to one of the night modes, which you have already been able to read about.
The device captures photos with a stunning resolution of no less than 5360x3008 pixels (16.1MP) and records videos in 1080p (60fps). These are stored on the 8GB microSD card and can be transferred to your computer or laptop with the microSD stick. The viewer features EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) to compensate for vibrations and correct blur. If you want to take a lot of shots, we recommend using a sturdy tripod. You can find these at the optional accessories.
Via the free app 'Roadcam' you can control the LN-G3-B50 with your smartphone or tablet (for Android and iOS). For example, you can view live images on your smartphone. The viewer itself creates a Wi-fi signal so you can connect your device.
Since the LN-G3-B50 is a night vision binocular, you can look through it with two eyes. This makes it very comfortable - even for prolonged use - because you don't have to constantly squeeze one eye shut. You can use the device with the four included CR123A batteries for up to 4-5 hours. You can also supply the viewer with continuous power by connecting it to e.g. a powerbank or laptop (via supplied UBS-C cable). Extra powerful CR123 batteries are also available as an option.
This night vision camera is an indispensable accessory for any demanding private user or professional, for whom quality, viewing distance and comfort are crucial. You can use the scope for nature observations, for example, because you want to see what walks in the forest at night or because you are researching animals. But it is also a useful tool for navigation, survival, hunting, security, rescue operations or night photography. Because you can also use this night vision binocular in daylight without any problems, you can therefore use it as a digital camera or spotting scope during the day. Because of the 6 to 36x variable zoom, this product is mainly suitable for medium to very long distances.
