ILFORD MULTIGRADE FB has been established since 1997.
ILFORD MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE is specifically designed for the creative printer wanting the ultimate in quality, with warm image colour and a high response to toning techniques. It is a premium quality, variable contrast, black and white photographic paper, coated onto a 255g/m2 fibre base.
MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE has a warm white base tint and prints made on the paper have warm deep blacks and creamy tones that are exceptional. It delivers luxuriously rich prints. This product has led the field for many years and has long been regarded as the first choice of creative printers. It is highly responsive to the toning, chemical reduction and retouching techniques.
This product will, quite simply, deliver a final quality print unlike anything else you can use in the darkroom, which is why it is so extensively used around the world for exhibition printing. It consistently produces the superior quality expected from an ILFORD photographic paper, and it’s versatility and response to darkroom techniques never fails to please. It is for all these reasons and more that MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE remains the same today as when it was first launched in 1997.
In the darkroom you will find that MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE has an induction time of around 40 seconds for image appearance during processing. It retains all the characteristics during processing that printers have come to expect from an FB paper. It is suitable for use in all types of darkroom enlargers, perfect with most safelights designed for black and white papers with a cut off no lower than 580nm. It is fully compatible with the ILFORD chemistry range as well as the ILFORD optimum permanence wash sequence.
MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE will deliver seven full grades of contrast from grade 00 to grade 5 in half grade steps when used with ILFORD MULTIGRADE FILTERS. After washing and drying, it can be mounted using the standard methods for fibre-based papers.
