Exceptional focal length with high lens speed
The 12 mm/3,1 is a full area covering Fisheye lens for Full Frame imaging.
With a diagonal full frame picture angle of approx. 180° it offers a giant field of vision. Perfectly suitable for overviews, inside spaces, confined spatial conditions, but also for reporting from such locations. The lens puts the motif into the right light. With its lens speed T of 3.1 this lens has a big initial light intensity. Due to the short focal length and the small image scale, it is characterized by a tremendous focal depth.
For videography
For videography the aperture can be infinitely adjusted from 3.1 to 22 and focussing is soft and light moving. This enables soft focus tracking, particularly in videography. Both the aperture ring and the focus ring are provided with a ring gear and have thus been optimized for use with focussing facilities (Follow Focus Systems) and ease their use when filming. Distance and aperture scales are arranged on the side for better readability.
High quality optics
The lens is internally focussing with a near focussing limit of approx. 20 centimetres. The optical design with 12 lenses in 8 groups is highly extravagant and promises best imaging quality. The multi-coating of all lenses used in this lens is standard with walimex pro. It enables a higher light gain, better colour rendering and higher contrast. A glass area additionally coated with NCS Nano Coating System promises an even more brilliant reproduction.
