SARAMONIC UWMIC9 SP-RX9 RECEIVER

Overview

The Saramonic UwMic9 SP-RX9 is both a receiver and mixer dedicated to filming with a smartphone or camera. A great solution for high-quality audio when shooting online streams, YouTube videos, vlogs, interviews, and conferences. As an option, the UwMic9 system also offers transmitters that can be combined with the SP-RX9 receiver, including the TX-XLR9 transmitter with phantom power (+48V) or the HU9 handheld microphone with a built-in transmitter.

Applications

The SP-RX9 serves dual purposes: it is a receiver that allows the signal to be received simultaneously from two transmitters and a separate mixer for use with an external microphone. Key features include:

• 1/4" thread for photo tripods and gimbals at the bottom of the unit.
• An aluminium handle included in the kit that can also be used as a stabiliser.
• A handle on the back of the receiver designed to accommodate a smartphone or other device, with a spacing range from 65 to a maximum of 87 millimetres.
• Multiple inputs and outputs on the side panels for designated applications:
• 3.5mm mini jack input for external microphone
• 3.5mm mini jack headphone output for monitoring
• USB type C input for battery charging
• Micro USB output for receiver connection to iOS and Android

Functions and Capabilities

The SP-RX9 is user-friendly, allowing for device synchronisation using auto-scan or infrared functions. The UwMic9 system operates in the secure UHF radio frequency band from 514 to 596 MHz, with up to 96 transmission channels available. This allows for the expansion of sets up to 48 transmitters and 24 receivers in total. The + and - buttons facilitate quick and convenient menu navigation. Range

The manufacturer specifies a system range of up to 100 metres in free space and up to 60 metres in a space with obstacles. Tests have shown that the distance from the receiver to the transmitter in an open area can reach up to 130 metres without obstructions.

Charging

The receiver is equipped with an internal rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for an extra set of batteries. The built-in battery (5V DC) can be charged using a USB/USB-C cable. The receiver and transmitter housings are made of high-quality aluminium, ensuring a durable product. Before recording, it is recommended to adjust the volume levels using the headphone input and headphones. We advise reading the instruction manual before use.
