The Fiber Dock One from FieldCast allows you to seamlessly switch, monitor, and control up to four PTZ cameras using fiber optic cables. This 1 RU dock is designed to provide a convenient solution for connecting and managing PTZ cameras.
New product
The Fiber Dock One features four hybrid fiber inputs that can be used to connect up to four PTZ Monk fiber connectors. These connections enable control, power distribution, and monitoring for up to four 3G-SDI PTZ cameras. With this setup, you can easily manage multiple cameras from a central location.
In terms of connectivity, the dock offers four 3G-SDI outputs, allowing you to monitor and switch camera signals as needed. It also includes a LAN Ethernet port, providing network connectivity for remote control and management of the cameras. Additionally, there is a 4-pin XLR power port that can be utilized with an optional IP controller for power supply.
The fiber connectors integrated into the dock provide 24 VDC (direct current) to the PTZ Monk units, which can be purchased separately. The PTZ Monk units then convert the power to provide 12 VDC to each camera using the power outputs on the Monk units. A power cable is included with the Fiber Dock One to facilitate this power distribution process.
In summary, the Fiber Dock One simplifies the integration and control of up to four PTZ cameras over fiber optic cables. It offers versatile connectivity options, efficient power distribution, and convenient monitoring and switching capabilities for a seamless PTZ camera management experience.
