The SMDV Flash Quick-II is a 16-channel trigger set that allows you to trigger a flash head from a distance of 150 metres. The set works with radio waves in the 2.4GHz frequency band. You work with a sync speed of up to 1/250s.
Transmitter
You can connect the transmitter to your camera in two ways. You can either slide the transmitter onto the hotshoe of your camera and tighten it with the dial or you can connect it with the supplied 2.5mm cable. The transmitter runs on a AAA battery. You can find these under the tab "Accessories".
Receiver
A speedlite is attached directly to the receiver's hotshoe. If you want to connect the receiver to a flash head, use the supplied 3.5mm cable. With two rubber plates you can mount it safely and securely on a tripod. If desired, you can stick the receiver to the flash head with a plastic hotshoe grip and screw.
You also connect the receiver with the short AC-cable to the flash head and then you connect the power cord to the receiver again. The receiver runs on two AAA batteries.
Trigger your camera
You can also use the Flash Quick-II to trigger your camera, which has an electronic shutter. For this you still need a trigger cable.
Please note
The SMDV Flash Quick-II is not designed for TTL mode or using the Live View function. It is necessary to put your camera in "normal" mode and the flash in manual mode.
