New product
The first production monitor that also records in 4K 12bit Raw, 10bit ProRes/DNxHR and is a 1080p60 switcher/recorder.
Features:
Studio Monitor
In the studio in post-production, the 19" Sumo is an extremely powerful monitor with 10 f-stops of dynamic range and 10-bit processing. It accepts all log formats as well as PQ and HLG and, thanks to the 1200 nit or cd/m² display, can display the image material in full HDR glory.
On-Set Monitor
The durable aluminum chassis has ten threads (1/4 and 3/8 inch) distributed on the sides, top and bottom, as well as a rear-mountable VESA mount for different configurations. The Sumo has a stable XLR connection for operation with mains power. An XLR audio connection, a 3.5mm jack for headphones and built-in speakers are available for recording and playing back the audio source.
With the separately available battery plates, 2 V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries can be used in tandem operation. A special highlight is the patented continuous power technology. This allows batteries to be changed without loss of power.
On-Set Workflow
For the first time, the 19" Sumo has an on-set monitor that also records and can also display HDR. This not only ensures the recording quality and assesses the result. With the recording function, dailies, proxies or 4Kp60 Masters can be created.
Studio-Workflow
After the shoot, the Sumo can be easily integrated into post-production to use the 1200 nit (respectively cd/m²) display for HDR editing. Simply connect to the grading software and view Log, PQ and HLG in true color and HDR in 10-bit quality with 10 stops dynamic range.
Quad SDI & HDMI 2.0 In/Out
The Sumo easily connects to all major SDI and HDMI sources and converts the signals as you wish. Thanks to Quad-SDI, you can connect cameras with multiple 1.5 or 3G SDI outputs without having to use a converter. With HDMI 2.0, the Sumo supports 4Kp60 in and out as well as Genlock and LTC timecode.
Professional recording quality
Record Sony RAW, Canon RAW or Panasonic RAW via SDI with up to 12-bit 4kp30 as CDNG, ProResRAW or Apple ProRes / Avid DNxHR with up to 10-bit 4Kp60 (2kp240). The Sumo's processing power enables recording directly from the sensor with data rates of up to 3.2 Gbps without loss of quality.
Monitor, Switcher, Record
Live switcher and recorder with up to 4x 1080p60 sources, 4x ISO recording and playback:
Working with multiple cameras is easy with the Sumo. As a switcher/mixer, you can record up to 4 HD ISO sources live via QuadLink SDI and forward a signal.
