If you want to go digiscoping with your Kowa spotting scope in combination with your digital camera, you can find the available options here. Kowa believes digiscoping should be simple and affordable and therefore offers solutions for Micro Four Third cameras as well as for heavier DSLR cameras.
There is a big difference between a TSN-DA and TSN-PA adapter. The TSN-DA must be mounted on the eyepiece while the TSN-PA falls entirely over the eyepiece and attaches to the body of the spotting scope. Cameras with MFT sensors are generally lighter and can therefore be mounted on the eyepiece well with a TSN-DA adapter. DSLR cameras are heavier and need to be connected to the body. A TSN-PA adapter is connected to the body over the eyepiece and provides more stability.
The TSN-PA adapters can be found among the optional accessories.
The Kowa TSN-DA10 can be used with the following spotting scopes:
If you have 1 of the combinations below, choose the TSN-DA20 which can be found under optional accessories:
The TSN-DA20 is also compatible with many historical spotting scopes and eyepieces. If you own such a historical model, please inquire about the possibilities.
If you prefer to connect the whole thing to your camera lens, this is no problem either. You then need a Kowa adapter ring in addition to the TSN-DA10 that fits the filter thread of your camera lens. Kowa has the following available sizes for this: 28, 30, 30.5, 37, 43, 46, 58, 62 and 72mm. If your camera lens has a different filter thread, a step-up or step-down ring can be used without any problems. Ask about the possibilities.
