The Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.4 is a fixed-focus standard lens designed to work with full-frame cameras equipped with the Canon EF mount. Yongnuo’s 50mm is for those looking for a super-bright portrait lens at an affordable price.
The field of view of the YN 50mm f/1.4 is 46 degrees. The optical construction consists of 9 lenses arranged in 7 groups. The lens works with full-frame sensors and will also work well with cameras equipped with an APS-C sensor.
The 7-blade aperture combined with the f/1.4 brightness provides an extremely shallow depth of field and unique background blur. The YN 50mm has a built-in autofocus system and the minimum focus distance is 0.45 metres.
There is an MF/AF switch on the lens housing, a manual focus ring and a micro USB port for software updates. The Fifty is also equipped with a 58 millimetre filter thread.
