New product
Saramonic SoundBird V1 is a professional shotgun microphone that provides high-quality sound and advanced functionality with the included accessories. It is an interesting solution for filmmakers, sound operators, and vloggers.
The microphone features a super-cardioid, directional transducer that allows you to capture sounds clearly in front of the microphone from a greater distance, while rejecting unwanted sound from the side and back. The all-brass construction is incredibly durable and helps reduce radio frequency interference. The XLR output is gold-plated for corrosion resistance and the best possible signal transfer. The 272 mm length is ideal for mounting on a professional camera or for use on a boom pole and racks.
You will always know what settings are used in your versatile SoundBird V1, because the built-in buttons are illuminated. The first button activates a high-pass filter that removes unwanted low-frequency sounds such as HVAC rumble, footsteps, and street noise. The second button activates the pad with a value of -10dB, which allows the capture of louder sounds without distortion. The third button is On/Off, which controls the internal AA battery. When SoundBird V1 is powered by external phantom power, the On/Off button lights up green. When powered by the internal AA battery, the On/Off button lights up blue. When the battery is discharged, the On/Off button lights up red. The microphone also remembers the button settings when you turn it off and on.
