The 3 Legged Thing Tommy is an Ultra-stable, 3-section, carbon fibre tripod equally suitable for video and photography. With 38mm tubing Tommy is the sturdiest tripod 3LT has made to date.
Super Stability
Boasting robust 3-section legs, Tommy is a tripod designed for heavier kit and longer lenses, that will enable videographers and photographers to work in even the most challenging terrains. With incredibly robust 35 mm 3-section carbon fibre legs, and anti-rotation Chicken Lips internally, Tommy is engineered for stability. Tommy's maximum height of 1.62 metres (63.89") and the ability to get as low as 15.6 cm (6.14") makes this super-stable tripod versatile at any height. With a choice of beautifully anodised flat or 75mm-bowl mounting plates, Tommy offers creators incredible versatility.
Ideal for Heavy Kit
Tommy's carbon fibre construction makes it lightweight comparative to it's load capability. Weighing just 2.59 kg / 5.7 lb, Tommy has an impressive load to weight ratio of 23:1.
Versatile & Modular
With 3 detachable legs which can be used as monopods or boom arms, Tommy can also be converted to a table top / low-level tripod by adding 3LT footwear (sold separately).
Chicken Lips
Tommy has been engineered with a style of Chicken Lips (shims) that give the leg locks greater strength, grip and formidable anti-rotation.
Rapid Latch
The new Rapid-Latch angle adjustment was designed to be easy to adjust, even for those with impairments, or wearing thick gloves.
O-Pads
Our new raised O-Pads with Bubble Grip texture provide better grip, torque and water dispersement than any other leg lock on the planet.
A Range of Footwear
Tommy has detachable rubber Bootz which can be replaced with any of our foot accessories, for maximum stability on any terrain, including our DOCZ foot stabilizer.
