The Venus Optics Laowa CU0026amp;D-Dreamer 9 mm is a fixed f/2.8 wide-angle lens designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors and Nikon Z mount. Despite the short focal length, it provides very good control of distortion and chromatic aberration, along with sensational sharpness from the center to the edges of the frame.
The lens offers a very wide angle of view of 113°, which is equivalent to a 14 mm lens for full frame. The optical system of the lens consists of fifteen elements arranged in ten groups. Three low-dispersion lenses and two aspherical glass elements ensure top-quality imaging performance from the center to the edges of the frame. Depth-of-field is controlled by a 7-blade diaphragm and a step-down aperture ring, and the minimum focusing distance is just 12 centimeters. The front lens is covered with Frog Eye Coating, which protects against dust and dirt, and its low profile and 49 mm thread allow the installation of filters.
Small dimensions and low weight of the lens, only 215 grams, make it perfect for everyday use and filming with drones and gimbals.
