Panasonic LUMIX G100
Panasonic is expanding the Lumix G camera line-up with the new ultra-compact LUMIX G100 mirrorless camera, starting in August 2020. This hybrid device has been developed specifically for vloggers and content creators, allowing them to share videos and photos in the best quality. The G100s lightweight and compact body, coupled with excellent photo and video quality, make it the ideal partner for content creators.
High quality video
With the LUMIX G100, you can produce completely smooth 4K or Full HD videos at a variety of frame rates. In a world where many content creators use smartphones to shoot video, the G100s superior image quality helps you stand out from the crowd. With a dramatically larger sensor, you can take fantastic photos and videos in a variety of lighting conditions, unlike smartphones. Your shots will be beautifully clear even in low light and night conditions.
Image Stabilization
Thepowerful five-axis hybrid image stabilizer proves excellent for shooting video on the move. Whether youre shooting while walking, cycling, or even filming from a moving car -- you can always rely on the G100 to provide the stability you need.
Nokia OZO Audio
The LUMIX G100 wont let you down with sound quality: it features an integrated sound system with Nokias groundbreaking OZO Audio technology. This is the worlds first mirrorless camera ever to offer this advanced feature. Three internal microphones take care of recording with clear, undistorted sound. The G100 also monitors the voice of the detected person and automatically switches to the most appropriate audio mode for the situation.
Special Features
With the new Video Selfie mode, you and the background in your recording will be in perfect focus on the first try. Video effects such as slow motion or time-lapse are a breeze with the G100. Experienced vloggers will be pleased to know that theres also the option to record in V-Log L colour profile, including support for LUT corrections that can be used in post-production. Capturing split-second moments is made possible by the 4K Photo function, which lets you shoot at 30 frames per second and only select the most action-packed shot, such as the action that happened 1 second before you could press the shutter.
Ergonomics and practicality
Weighing just 422g, the LUMIX G100 is a very lightweight and compact device that youll be happy to pack wherever you go. You have the choice of a high-resolution viewfinder or a three-inch display, again with high resolution. The touchscreen conveniently swivels in all directions, making it much easier to take photos and videos from overhead, underwater and other angles, including selfies.
For vloggers in particular, the Frame Marker function makes it easy to control composition and offers several popular aspect ratio settings. To see at a glance if youre filming, the unmissable red REC Frame Indicator frame appears.
The Lumix G100V kit also includes the SHGR1 tripod/grip (also available separately), which can be used as both a tripod and a convenient extended grip. Using the USB interface, you can then use it to control starting or stopping video recording, the camera shutter, or to put the camera to sleep/wake it from standby mode. You can also charge the LUMIX G100 via standard USB, so you dont have to worry about running out of juice in the field.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
The LUMIX G100 integrates both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for easy sharing of your best shots. A dedicated upload button transmits videos and photos straight to your phone, from which you can instantly share your content on social networks via the free LUMIX Sync app for iOS and Android. The Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.2) standard ensures minimal power consumption. Using your smartphone, you can remotely activate the camera and assign GPS geotags. The smartphone can also be used as a remote control for video recording and photography.
