New product
The Panasonic Lumix GH7 is the latest addition to the renowned Lumix GH series, continuing the legacy of innovation. Known for their excellent video capabilities, GH models have been the choice of many creative professionals since 2014 when the GH4 debuted as the first mirrorless camera capable of shooting 4K.
The Lumix GH7 is a powerful hybrid camera excelling in both video and photo capture. Equipped with a newly developed 25.2 MP BSI CMOS sensor, it provides more than 13 stops of dynamic range, precise color reproduction, detailed tonal levels, and effective noise processing. The cameras image stabilizer offers up to 7.5 stops of stabilization, even compensating for strong camera shake at slower shutter speeds. The improved PDAF autofocus system allows for easy and precise subject detection, identification, focusing, and tracking.
Despite its compact size, the Lumix GH7 features innovative video functions usually found in larger cameras. Users can internally record in 5.7K 30p ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes RAW HQ (CFExpress) formats. The ability to simultaneously record proxy files enhances data transfer, editing, and post-production efficiency. Shooting in 5.8K open gate provides flexible framing, capturing all image formats in a single shot.
Thanks to an innovative design utilizing high thermal conductivity graphite, heat is efficiently dissipated throughout the magnesium alloy body, aided by a cooling fan. This reduces heat buildup, allowing for unlimited video recording in C4K/60P format without overheating issues. The GH7 also features real-time LUT function, enabling users to load and apply original LUT files directly to videos and photos, storing up to 39 different LUTs for versatile color grading.
The GH7 seamlessly integrates with the Frame.io Camera to Cloud platform, facilitating efficient editing and collaboration. Connecting to the internet via Wi-Fi or USB allows for automatic uploading of images and proxy videos, streamlining production and post-production processes. Additionally, the DMW-XLR2 microphone adapter, released alongside the GH7, offers the worlds first 32-bit floating audio recording for DSLR cameras, providing limitless post-production possibilities to achieve perfect sound quality.
