The Redleaf RDE-403UR USB-C Endoscope is a unique device that allows you to film and take pictures in hard-to-reach places. With a 3-meter long rigid cable and a small 8-millimeter wide camera, it’s a kit that will allow you to capture video in nooks and crannies you could never reach with a smartphone, camera or even the smallest sports camera.
The Redleaf RDE- 403UR endoscope uses a USB-C interface, so we can connect it to a wide variety of devices equipped with this increasingly popular connector. Inspection camera works with Windows (from version XP), Android (compatible with the OTG standard) and macOS. The manufacturer has also prepared dedicated programs to facilitate the camera operation both from smartphones and tablets (CameraFi and An98 applications available free of charge in Google Play) and from computers (ViewPlayCap for Windows). The kit, along with the endoscope, includes two adapters to connect it to devices equipped with USB type A and micro USB ports.
The camera, installed in the Redleaf RDE-403UR endoscope, allows you to record videos and photos with a maximum resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. LEDs, placed around the lens, allow recording in total darkness. This solution allows you to see the finest details of filmed objects, even in places where there is no light at all. The power of the backlight can also be adjusted using a dedicated, physical knob.
The set comes with special overlays that will further extend the practical use of the Redleaf RDE-403UR endoscope. Magnet and hook, placed on small wires, will allow you to extract small objects from hard to reach places. In turn, the cap with a mirror will turn the endoscope into a small periscope, which will allow you to film and take pictures from a different angle.
The use of a rigid cable allows you to conveniently model its positioning. This makes it easier to adapt the shape of the cable to the space where you want to use it.
The device meets the IP67 standard, which means that the endoscope can be submerged in water. This will be useful, for example, when diagnosing problems with leaking or clogged plumbing.
