Description
The Yongnuo YN900 II is a large LED flash that is ideal for use on set as both a main light, fill light and background light.
The light panel of the lamp is made up of 900 high-performance LEDs, emitting light with a colour temperature of 5500 K. This is close to daylight in slightly overcast conditions and is accepted as the standard in photographic and film lighting. Light of this warmth is emitted by, among others, flash units for both reporters and studios. The standardised colour makes it easy to combine many sources of continuous and flash light. Its natural characteristics are demonstrated by its high CRI (95+).
The lamp allows precise control over the direction of the light generated. This is made possible by the integrated gates and the panel angle adjustment function. Additional elements influencing the character of the light are a milky diffuser and a CTO filter.
- The diffuser at the front of the lamp diffuses the light and gives it a pleasant softness (eliminates harsh shadows).
- The CTO orange filter allows for a much warmer light colour.
Both modifiers provide additional protection for the light panel from damage.
The lamp’s tripod mount allows it to be mounted on tripods equipped with a standard 16 mm diameter stem.
The lamp can be controlled via a control panel, located on the back of the unit, and wirelessly using a remote control or a mobile app on a smartphone. Both remote methods allow grouping and parameter control of multiple lamps simultaneously.
Power for the YN900 II can be supplied via a 19 V / 5 A mains adapter or four NP-F series lithium-ion batteries. The two power methods make the flash ideal for both studio and field use.
