Description

Yongnuo YN204 is a mid-size naked-camera lamp using SMD LEDs It generates high quality light with adjustable colour temperature and a wide angle of illumination.

High power and wide angle of illumination

The use of state-of-the-art SMD LEDs allows the light to be generated with high power and a wide angle of incidence. The light intensity at a distance of 0.5 m at 5500 K is as high as 1300 lux. It is the high brightness and compact dimensions that set the YN204 lamp apart from the competition.

Adjustable colour temperature

The two types of LEDs used to illuminate the panel allow the colour temperature of the light emitted by the lamp to be varied infinitely. The available range of 3200 K – 5500 K easily allows you to select the right colour for both incandescent and daylight.

Excellent colour rendering

A very good colour rendering is evidenced by the high CRI. This coefficient is defined by a value between 0 and 100 and indicates the degree of similarity between the light emitted and the spectrum of natural sunlight. The higher the value, the better the colour rendering of the illuminated objects – they look more natural. A value of over 95 guarantees colour fidelity and correctly reproduced depth of tone.

Convenient control

The control of the lamp’s operating parameters is intuitive. Two knobs located on the back of the lamp allow infinite adjustment of the colour temperature and intensity of the light generated.

Connected and rechargeable power supply

TheYN204 can be powered by NP-F series batteries or by an AC adapter (battery and adapter not included). This makes the flash ideal for both studio and field use. When working on the battery, an LED indicator next to the lamp switch indicates its current charge level.

Compact design

The lamp’s undoubted advantages are its low weight and compact design – the panel is only 2 cm thick (3 cm including the knobs) and weighs just 260 grams. These features users will appreciate not only when transporting and travelling, but also when using it on a camera, camcorder, cage or stabiliser.

Wide compatibility

The kit includes a mounting adaptor equipped with a cold shoe, allowing the lamp to be mounted directly on a recording device or stand (also included). A joint built into the adaptor allows the panel to be positioned at a convenient angle, and 1/4″ tripod threads located in both the adaptor and at the base of the lamp allow mounting to a standard camera tripod and other photo-video accessories.

Larger panels

TheYN204 features a clip system that allows several lamps of this type to be combined into larger panels. This will give you a large source of light ideally suited for illuminating your entire silhouette.
