Yongnuo YN24EX Overview
The Yongnuo YN24EX is a specialist lamp designed for macro photography, equipped with two moving heads that emit strobe light and continuous light.
Configuration and Flexibility
YN24EX offers huge opportunities for configuration, allowing the lighting to be perfectly adapted to any situation. The mobile lamp heads are connected to the control unit by means of flexible cables with a length of 40-90 cm. This solution enables the heads to be mounted, for example, on two independent tripod mounts (1/4"). The heads can also be fastened to the control unit and attached to a ring on the front of the lens, with moving joints facilitating the direction of light.
Flash Modes
The lamp flash supports two modes: manual and ETTL. In both modes, you can manage the operation of both burners simultaneously or separately. The adjustment of the lamp includes:
- Bracketing flash intensity
- Ratio of burner output
- Synchronization for the second curtain
LED Light Feature
In addition to traditional burners, the Yongnuo YN24EX is equipped with LED lights that emit continuous light. These can act as the main light (when strobe light is not used) or as a pilot light, facilitating framing and focus.
Power and Durability
The built-in PC allows you to trigger the flash through a cable. The Yongnuo YN24EX is powered by four AA batteries and also has a jack for connecting an additional external power supply. The lamp's components and contacts are protected from adverse weather conditions by a rubber seal.
