The Desview R7II is the ideal solution for those looking for a large preview monitor whose size and weight still allow the device to be ergonomically connected to a camera, cage, or magic arm mount. The 7-inch touch screen features 2 1/4" threads for vertical or horizontal installation. The monitor is equipped with HDMI 1.4 output and input, allowing the transmission of a signal with a maximum resolution of 4K. This model is distinguished by its outstanding brightness (2600 nits). On board, there are useful tools to facilitate image control (including False Color, Histogram, and Zebra), support for 3D LUT color profiles, and HDR mode. The device can be powered by a power supply or rechargeable batteries (NP-F or V-Mount).
The large touchscreen offered by the Desview R7II is an excellent choice for those who are not satisfied with the popular 5.5" monitors used when recording video footage. Thanks to it, you won't miss a single detail! The 7-inch display also provides above-average brightness, which is 2600 nits. Such parameters will provide adequate comfort even when you come to film in bright sunlight. Compliance with the color range defined in the REC.709 standard will ensure that the image viewed on the monitor will never be skewed against the original recording!
The IPS display provides full touch operation of the device. Such a solution guarantees fast and convenient control of settings. Cooperation with popular gestures used in touch interfaces will allow you to, among other things, conveniently zoom in or out, adjust the volume, and change the brightness of the backlight. All this will further facilitate the control of recorded shots and quick switching between different parts of the menu. There are also 2 programmable shortcut buttons on the top of the monitor, to which you can assign the most frequently used functions.
The Desview R7II features both HDMI 1.4 input and HDMI 1.4 output, giving you even more freedom to work with video devices. The preview monitor can easily handle up to 4K resolution signal transmission. Thanks to the 3.5mm mini jack headphone connector, you will also gain the ability to monitor audio in real time. This is an ideal solution for both professionals and home video makers who want flexibility and convenient control of the recorded material.
The Desview R7II preview monitor will work well both in the studio and outdoors. This is because the device supports a variety of power supply methods. If you have an electrical outlet nearby, reach for an AC adapter. And when you're working outdoors or want to avoid tangled cables, use an NP-F battery pack (NP-F550, NP-F750, or NP-F970). You will plug the cell into a special socket with a solid locking mechanism. You will also find a D-Tap cable included with the monitor, which will allow you to connect the device to a V-Mount battery pack. Power supply or batteries MUST be purchased separately.
Want to make the image displayed on your monitor even more detailed? Take advantage of HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, which makes whites whiter and blacks even deeper! High dynamic range also means greater brightness, contrast, and more vivid colors. With the HDR function, the Desview preview monitor will allow you to render the full scale of contrasts and enjoy an even more realistic image.
The Desview R7II preview monitor allows you to use 3D color tables. This means that already at the recording stage you will apply so-called LUTs, effects that can be compared to filters, which are responsible for color correction of video images. The device has its own library of ready-made presets, but the possibilities of the Desview R7II do not end there. You can plug the included flash drive into a USB port and upload your own LUTs to the device, which will allow you to test a professional film look on the preview or experiment with unique image styling, even before you start the editing and post-production stages.
Working with the Desview R7II preview monitor will help you set up your frames with precision. The device allows you to use the center markers of the frame (Center Mark) and the safe area (Safe Area). Among the available tools, there is also a grid that can be superimposed on the preview. The monitor also offers support for different anamorphic aspect ratios. The feature will enable comfortable work with custom lenses to achieve an even more cinematic movie look.
The Desview R7II preview monitor offers a number of tools to help you better evaluate exposure levels while working with your camera or camcorder. Using the Zebra, False Color, and Single Color modes, you can easily determine which elements of the frame are too bright and which are too dark. These tools will come in handy wherever poor lighting conditions prevent you from accurately assessing the exposure of, among other things, the skin or faces of the filmed characters.
The Desview R7II preview monitor offers support for various anamorphic aspect ratios (1.33x, 1.5x, 1.66x, 1.79x, and 2.0x). The feature will enable comfortable operation with custom lenses to achieve an even more cinematic movie look. After selecting the appropriate aspect ratio, the image will be displayed on the monitor screen after desqueeze editing, with the appropriate framing frames.
Included with the Desview R7II monitor, you'll find a number of useful accessories that will make your preview work easier. HDMI cables will allow you to connect the device to various models of cameras and camcorders (mini HDMI and micro HDMI), providing fast transfer of high-quality images. The cold shoe mount will allow convenient work when the monitor is attached to the body, cage, or magic arm mount. A USB flash drive will provide convenient transfer of custom LUTs directly to the monitor or software updates. Also included is a microfiber cloth and a nice-to-touch carrying case.
