Supporting up to DCI 4K for high-resolution production, the Datavideo NVD-40 4K IP Video Decoder is a versatile tool for working with IP video. Use this device for corporate video, house of worship, and education. Not only does the decoder handle both flavors of 4K video, but it does so with all of its outputs active at the same time so that you can simultaneously output over HDMI, composite video, and RCA analog audio outputs.
Decoding all common streaming protocols, the NVD-40 supports SRT, RTSP, RTMP, and HLS as well as MPEG-TS, so you can happily use it without worrying about being unable to decode from a streaming source. Additionally, it can directly decode video streams from many live platforms such as YouTube Live, Dailymotion, and Livestream.

SRT Protocol
- SRT is a video streaming protocol designed to deliver low-latency video streams across lossy networks such as the public internet.
- In a nutshell, SRT brings the best quality live video over the worst networks. It accounts and corrects for packet loss, jitter, and fluctuating bandwidth all while maintaining the integrity and quality of video.
- SRT's stream error correction is configurable to accommodate a user's deployment conditions. Leveraging real-time IP communications development to extend traditional network error recovery practices.
- SRT delivers media with significantly lower latency than TCP/IP, while offering the speed of unreliable UDP transmission without the disadvantage.
4K Video Output
The NVD-40 IP Video Decoder supports HDMI and composite video output with resolutions up to 3840x2160p 50/60 FPS and 4096x2160p 30 FPS. RCA audio output is also supported.
Flip and Rotate Video
The NVD-40 adds real-time video flipping and rotating functions for more flexible video output options.
Includes Remote Control
RMC-12 remote control is included for more convenient operation.
