The Nanomorph 27 mm T2.8 1.5X S35 is the widest representative of the innovative anamorphic film lens series from Venus Optics Laowa. Thanks to its 2 interchangeable bayonets, the model presented here is compatible with cameras and camcorders equipped with the Arri PL mount and the Canon EF mount. It is the world’s smallest anamorphic lens to cover the Super 35 sensor and offers a horizontal image compression ratio of 1.5x, enabling a 2.4:1 aspect ratio on a 16:9 sensor. The close minimum focus distance of 43cm will open up new possibilities for image creation, as well as allowing a greater depth of field. The lens will also allow you to create striking cross flares and the oval bokeh known from Hollywood productions. The Silver variant offers a silver flare shade, close to neutral white.

The Nanomorph series lenses are available in 3 different variants: Silver (silver), Amber (amber) and Blue (blue). You will recognise them by the colour of the distinctive ring located on the barrel. Each variant offers a different shade of flare generated. The model presented here is a silver colour, close to neutral white. This is an extremely versatile solution, especially if you are working with different types of film production. The flares will be more neutral, subtle and less diffuse compared to those offered by the Blue and Amber models.
