Introducing the Redesigned Camera Cage for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K

This Camera Cage for the BMCC 6K (Full Frame) provides protective armor for the camera body and allows users to secure different accessories to improve the camera's functionality. This updated version features a top plate that perfectly aligns with the 1/4-20 thread on the top of the Full Frame camera body, which is not currently compatible with our previous version of this cage.

Design and Functionality

This updated design also features two screws to connect the cage to the bottom of the camera, creating an incredibly secure three points of contact. The Full Cage offers several 1/4-20 threads with locating points, cold shoe receivers, an Arri compatible rosette, and a NATO Rail for NATO-based Side Handles and accessories.

The right side arm module can be removed to turn this Full Cage into a Half Cage, which offers more flexibility in situations where lighter builds are required, such as when using a gimbal. The Bottom Plate provides several 1/4-20 mounting points for attaching your camera to various quick release plates and is compatible with the ARCA Receiver of the DJI RS3 Pro. When using the Half Cage, the bottom plate can be extended to support the Blackmagic Design Battery Grip.

Important Notes

PLEASE NOTE: The Battery Grip 15mm Rod Holder is NOT INCLUDED with the Full Camera Cage.

WARNING: The BMD EVF does NOT fully clear the Top Plate of the cage. Please exercise caution to avoid damage to the EVF.
