After connecting the battery to the charger, the charge level is checked and then the charging process begins.
The LED indicates the battery status by color. When it is lit red it means that the battery is charging. When the color turns green, charging has finished, the charger has gone into a hold state. Charging during this time is turned off, which prevents overcharging of the battery.
The charger does not work with original Nikon batteries.
