The Venus Optics Laowa Magic Shift Converter LW-MSC 1.4x utilizes a patented optical design consisting of 5 elements arranged in 4 groups, including 2 refractive glass lenses. This design effectively minimizes chromatic aberration and distortion, providing perfectly sharp images with a small loss of brightness (1 EV).
The Shift option allows you to correct the perspective, which can be disturbed by a large distance from the photographed subject. This feature helps eliminate distortion and achieve straight lines in photos taken with wide-angle lenses. The converter allows for perspective correction of +/-10 mm, making it an excellent choice for those specializing in architectural or interior photography.
The converter is designed to work with the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 lens, but its compatibility extends beyond just Laowa lenses. The Venus Optics Laowa Magic Shift Converter LW-MSC 1.4x is designed to work with other lenses as well, providing even more versatility when shooting.
NOTE: The adapter does not transfer information from the lens to the camera. Setting the focus and aperture must be done manually using the lens rings.
