Highest possible flexibility
The Aptaris 15mm Universal LWS Baseplate is the perfect base for almost any camera. With the supplied Space Rods the Baseplate can be aligned in such a way, that the lens has the right distance to the rods, e.g. to use a Follow Focus or a Mattebox - no matter whether a DSLR/CSC or a professional film camera like the Canon C300 is concerned.

Well thought-out design
The Baseplate made in Germany has been developed in cooperation with professional film makers. Many details are a great help for achieving optimal results in filming and to be as flexible as possible.
For cameras, which are fastened with just one screw, the Baseplate provides an anti-twist lock, which locks the camera in place even under extreme stress.
Some Viewfinders and battery handles always offset the tripod thread by a few millimetres, so that the lens is no longer centrally arranged to the rods. The special shape of the camera plate enables you to compensate this offset.
Several 1/4 inch threads on all sides enable convenient mounting of more accessories by using swivel arms.

Ready for further expansion
The Baseplate comes with 3 x 3/8 inch threads in the bottom side for fastening on a video tripod. The scope of delivery already contains 3 x 3/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapters, to be able to work with most tripod systems.
For ground level shots an optionally available additional carrier handle can be fastened on the Baseplate.
The 15mm Light-Weight-Support Standards allow you to convert the Baseplate in combination with the Aptaris handle module and the Aptaris shoulder module into a compact shoulder rig in almost no time at all.
